My pets

Hello everyone!

In this last blog I'm gonna talk about my pets. In April of 2019 me and my family decided to adopt cats. The original idea was to bring two, but a neighbor was giving up three siblings for adoption, and we couldn't leave one alone, so we took all three.

They were only six months old when they arrived at my house, and we immediately decided their names:  Micaela, Harry and Margarita. Even when they have the same age and were raised in the same conditions their personalities and physical characteristics are completely different. It's hard to believe they are related.

Let me tell you about them one by one:

First Micaela, or Mica, as me and my family call her. Her fur is completely black and her eyes are green. She likes to run and play a lot, is always moving.

Second one, Harry, a yellow and lazy cat. His favorite activity is sleep and eat, of course. Sometimes I compare him to Garfield.

The Last one, Margarita, a gray and lovely cat. Is extremely affectionate and she does not like to be left alone for much time.

My life completely changed after I adopted them. Sadly they live in Osorno, and for the moment i´m in Santiago. I wish I could see them every day, but I can´t. For the moment I will wait until December. Two months isn't a long time, is it?

That's all for this Last blog and I want to know if you guys have cats? Or another Pet? Don't forget to write it down. Bye!

Time to travel to the past

Hello everyone!

Have you ever wanted to travel to the past or the future? In my case, I´ve always been curious about the past.

History is something that I really enjoy, so I usually wonder about the past. But if you ask me, I certainly have a favorite period of history: The French Revolution. It was 1789, and the French population demanded better conditions of life.

I was in school when I read about it for the first time. I remember seeing the pictures of many people fighting for a common cause. This revolution meant the end of the monarchy of a powerful nation. The death of the Queen and the King was something never seen before, so the impact of that was tremendous.

The French Revolution is an important event, and of course I would like to get back and see it with my own eyes. But let's be clear, I´d just like to go and see. This period is super interesting, but also violent and difficult, the conditions of life were terrible.

I know that I will never be able to get back to the past, but I can read or see documentaries about the French Revolution. Also, there are some movies like “Les Misérables” (2012)  or “Marie Antoinette” (2006). Even when they have a grand part of fiction, both are really good.

My dream job

Hello everyone!

Today I wanna talk about an interesting but complicated topic: my dream job. I've never been sure what I want to do in the future, so thinking about my dream job isn't easy.

Since last year I start studying journalism, but to be honest, it was a last minute decision. At first I just studied without many expectations. Even when I liked some classes and enjoyed hanging out with friends, I wasn't motivated about the major I chose.

The situation changed this year, when I took the class of Radio. I instantly fell in love with it, the idea of using a microphone and talking with many people blew me away. So now, I can say that my dream job looks like that.

I just imagine myself in a radio studio, with a lot of different interviewees and talking about themes like cooking, movies, clothes or any other subject I enjoy.

I know that for this job it is necessary to be creative and spontaneous, because as my teacher said, in radio everything can change. I also know that the salary isn´t elevated, this makes me sad, because this is a really important job. Added to this, many journalists work in an independent way, because of the low job offer.

The class of radio has really changed me. Now I'm more motivated and I can think in the future.

The best holidays ever

Hello everyone! Today I wanna talk about my summer holidays. In January of this year I went to Viña Del Mar, Chile. I stayed in this lovely city for an entire week, and honestly, I think it was a very short time.

One thing I noticed immediately once I arrived was the architecture, it impressed me a lot. I enjoyed

walking through the city and watching the buildings, with their different colors and shapes.

It was the middle of the summer and the weather was amazing, so the principal activity I did was take the sun

at Las Salinas Beach. Also I visited Reloj de Flores and Quinta Vergara, places that I totally recommend.

I would have liked to go to the Palacio Presidencial and Castillo Wulff too, but I didn't have much time.

I traveled with my sister, brother, mother and my aunt. This is what made this holidays very special,

and probably, the best of all. I don't usually spend vacations with my whole family, so I'm really grateful

for that.

A country I would like to visit

When I was a child, I loved geography. I was very interested in learning about different cultures or analyzing country flags. However, there is one country that I especially remember: Egypt.

Egypt makes me super curious, mostly because of their history. Things like the mystery about the pyramids, the dynasties or their art, are just fascinating. Also, another thing that catches my attention is the position of the cats in Ancient Egypt. They were considered sacred for the Egyptians, and I applaud that.

Anyway, I dont think I know much about the actual situation of Egypt. When I have time I would like to look for more information, because it is a country that has changed a lot.

If I ever can go to Egypt, I would obviously want to visit the pyramids of Giza or the Manial Palace Museum. Another thing that of course is in my to do list, is to taste the traditional Egyptian food.

Although I said I would love to visit Egypt, I don't know if I would like to live there. I'm studying a career yet, so changing the country where I live is not exactly my priority now.
